Does the GPL allow me to require that anyone who receives the software must pay me a fee and/or notify me?
I agree 100%, and had a go at reducing it. I quoted "additional restrictions" to signal that that phrase has special meaning. The question you offered seems closely related to "Is the developer of a GPL-covered program bound by the GPL? Could the developer's actions ever be a violation of the GPL?" so I added it with a little of the text I removed from the reduced section. sirian 12:20, 23 March 2006 (EST)
