I am unable to search comments by using Safari, Opera or Firefox
under Mac Intel OSX 10.4.
I am not even able to verify that the 2 comments I just submitted
were actually recorded.

I should add that I have tried to search messages over the last 10
months several times on various browsers on Mac and WinXP machines,
always without success.
