Minutes for the phone meeting of 18 July 2006

This was a short (< 1/2 hr) meeting that was lightly attended (representatives from 4 companies + FSF).

Looks like second discussion draft is still likely to be published next week.

There is no definite date set yet for the third discussion draft - possibly in middle of October. It was noted that that might be early given the timing of release of second draft followed by August, a generally slow month.

Discussion of a Committee B face-to-face.

A 2-day meeting in September.

Should some time be set aside for company-only discussion?

No coordination opportunities were noted.

No conflicting events to be avoided were noted.

No obvious geographic center. Thus, one type of location to consider would be an airport hotel (e.g., Chicago, Denver).

The next meeting is scheduled for 3 August 2006.
